Rev. Dr. Brian K. Jensen began his call with First Church on November 1, 2003. Brian comes to us from Salem, Ohio. Rev. Jensen is a 1982 graduate of the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology, a 1985 graduate of the Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with a Master of Divinity, and a 2002 graduate of Columbia Theological Seminary in Atlanta Georgia with a Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality and Homiletics. Brian and his wife, Leslie, sons Rob and Travis, and daughter Mariah, will make their home in downtown Meadville.
Brian previously served as head of staff at First Presbyterian Church in Salem, Ohio, since April of 1991. One of his most recent accomplishments has been to earn his Doctor of Ministry in Christian Spirituality from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, Georgia in May of 2002. You can email Rev. Kevin Dill, Kevin Dill holds degrees in organ performance from the University of Victoria (B.Mus 2002) and the University of Alberta (M.Mus 2005), in Canada. He is a recipient of the Royal Canadian College of Organists’ Associateship Diploma, and in 2009 placed third in the RCCO National Organ Playing Competition. Kevin has served as organist at several churches in Canada, and was a teaching assistant in the University of Alberta’s Department of Music. He became Music Director at First Presbyterian in 2006, responsible for playing the organ at two Sunday services and directing an active, multi-age program of choirs and handbells. Susan Volna, our Director of Children's Christian Education in the church. Susan oversees the Sunday morning Workshop Rotation "Our Amaz ing Journey" and the Wednesday after school elementary age Youth Club. Susan joined the staff in June of 2007. You can email Susan at susanvolna@meadvillefpc.org
Rex Sheerer, our full-time custodian, joining the staff in 2004. Rex brings a background in small engine repair and 14 years experience in custodial and janitorial work to our church. Rex lives n the Cochranton area.
Duke Rand is our evening custodian, joined the staff in November 2005. Duke is a freelance photographer during the day.
