First Church, along with Stone United Methodist Church, supports Fairview/Fairmont financially, spiritually, and with hands on help

Coalition for Christian Outreach Mollie Little

The "CCO" is a non-profit organization that is committed to the task of carrying the Christian message to college students on campuses in Eastern Ohio, Western and Central Pennsylvania, and North Western Virginia. For more information visit www.ccojubilee.org. Mollie works on campus with several college students and publishes a newsletter with updates on the students and various study groups.

Local Missions

Love, INC.(In the Name of Christ): As a Christian operation, Love, INC. works with public and private sector organizations to provide basic needs such as food, clothing, furniture, housing, transportation, and financial aid. First Church provides aid to the community through referrals from Love, INC.
Habitat for Humanity: Provides low cost housing for qualifying families. First Church provides financial support for the building of new homes for Habitat in Crawford County. Many members are involved as board members of Habitat and in the actual construction of the new homes.
Compassion International: First Church Sunday School students sponsor two children in the third world countries of Hondorus and Haiti.
Stephen Ministry: Individual church members receive specialized training to assist other members in dealing with difficult life circumstances. If you know of someone who has experienced a loss, is facing a crisis in his/her life, or needs a listening presence as he/she struggles with life challenges, please call Rev. David Fugate at the church office (333-2161).
Food Pantry: First Church members donate non-perishable food items for distribution to needy families.
TV Broadcasts: CTV23 carries our first Sunday of each month 11:00 a.m. worship service.
Meadville Area Free Clinic: The clinic provides free health services to those who have found it difficult, if not impossible, to obtain medical insurance. The deacons have extended themselves in support of this important community service as a form of ministry outreach.
Prayer Lifeline: Members of First Church are ready to bow in prayer on your behalf. Please call Ruth Knapp 333-4318 or the church office 333-2161 if you have a prayer need or know someone in need of prayer. All requests are kept confidential unless you ask for specific prayer.
